Fraud Awareness & Prevention Policy
Last updated: 10 January 2025
At Klink Transfer Limited, your security is our top priority. Fraud is an ever-growing risk in the financial
industry, and criminals are constantly finding new ways to trick people into sending them money.
This document provides important guidance on how to recognise, avoid, and report fraudulent activity.
1. Our Commitment to Fighting Fraud
We comply with the UK Payment Services Regulations, FCA rules, and anti-money laundering (AML)
laws.
We use secure systems, identity checks, and transaction monitoring to detect suspicious activity.
We will never ask you to disclose your online banking passwords or security codes.
2. Common Types of Fraud
a) Impersonation Scams
Criminals pretend to be from your bank, the police, or government departments to convince you to send
money.
b) Romance Scams
Scammers form fake online relationships and then ask for money, often claiming emergencies.
c) Investment Scams
Fraudsters promise high returns or guaranteed profits if you send money to them.
d) Invoice & Payment Redirection
Criminals hack email accounts or pretend to be a supplier, asking you to send money to a different
account.
e) Advance Fee Fraud
Being asked to pay a small “release” or “processing” fee before receiving a promised large sum.
3. Warning Signs of Fraud
Be cautious if:
You feel pressured to act urgently.
You are asked to keep the transaction secret.
You are contacted unexpectedly by phone, email, text, or social media.
You are told to send money to “release” a prize, inheritance, or parcel.
The requestor avoids face-to-face contact or official channels.
4. How to Protect Yourself
Verify the identity of anyone asking for payment – contact them using details from an official source.
Never share passwords, PINs, or verification codes.
Check details carefully before confirming a payment.
Be sceptical of offers that sound too good to be true – they usually are.
Pause before sending money abroad – once sent, it’s difficult to recover.
5. Our Role in Fraud Prevention
We may delay, block, or cancel transactions if they appear suspicious.
We may contact you for more information or documents before processing.
We report suspected fraud to relevant authorities, including Action Fraud and the National Crime
Agency.
6. What to Do If You Suspect Fraud
If you think you are the victim of fraud, act immediately:
1.Contact Us – Email: support@klinkt.co.uk
2.Report to Action Fraud – UK’s national fraud reporting centre:
Website: www.actionfraud.police.uk

7. Our Advice
Once money has been paid out to a fraudster, it is often difficult to recover. Always take time to think
before making a payment – especially to someone you don’t know personally
